After a week hiatus, Tuesday was back on with a revised layout of the Pro Track extension and the outdoor esses. After the first few laps of qualifying the last bit of dust was swept away and the times started to drop. Many drivers found that the esses could be taken at almost full throttle if they could “thread the needle.” This meant that the first right-hander after coming in the door was now a real turn because of the increase in speed.
For the race, 7 of 11 karts finished on the lead lap with only one caution. It was a close battle for the lead between Team Saratov, Papal Thunder, JVeloz, and Slug for the second half of the race. On lap 60 Team Saratov and JVeloz tangled through the esses, resulting in a spin for JVeloz and black flags for both. Papal Thunder benefited by assuming the lead and holding it until the checkers, with Slug coming in a close 2nd place.
