LMK Speed Secret – Into the building. The last turn before you complete the lap is a blind, double-apex left-hander. You can approach this from the esses in almost a straight line, aiming for the kart to be just off the inside barrier, maybe 6-12 inches.
The asphalt has less grip here so the kart will want to understeer (go straight on). As you turn in, a slight lift will be all it takes to rotate the kart, and midway through you can get back on the gas. At this point, you should be aiming to be as close to the barriers for the second apex, like this:
An early apex here should be avoided because it will point you toward the barriers on the opposite side of the track, requiring a lift off the throttle to avoid contact. Do it right, and you’ll be able to power through all the way to the hairpin. Exit speed is key here, so after you track out, minimize your steering input and stay mostly to the right. The track is wide so you won’t be penalized by an early apex on the next right-hander, and it sets you up for a late entry to the hairpin.
Now, practice, practice, practice! Do you have what it takes to race on Tuesday nights at the Pro Enduro?
